A fresh claim posted online suggests that Grand Theft Auto 6 may still be more than a year away from release, considering the fact that it appears to be finally being announced very soon. Now that the developer of the game has sort of announced something, it still isn’t exactly the full unveiling of Grand Theft Auto 6.
Upcoming Trailer Release
“We are very excited to let you know that in early December, we will release the first trailer for the next Grand Theft Auto,” the developer of the game said. “We look forward to many more years of sharing these experiences with all of you.”
The first trailer for “the next Grand Theft Auto,” which is most likely going to be called Grand Theft Auto 6, will appear in early December, according to the developer.
The co-founder and president Sam Houser explained on X, the former Twitter, that the timing of the trailer is to commemorate the studio’s 25th anniversary of founding. The note was brief and didn’t reveal anything other than that.
It is expected to unveil a teaser for the alleged initial announcement next month. It’s still unclear how much of it will be unveiled just yet. Although it hasn’t been confirmed yet, this will most likely be present at The Game Awards on December 7.
Grand Theft Auto 5, the most recent GTA game, got out more than ten years ago. In that time, it has sold over 185 million copies and is now the second-best-selling game of all time. Considering that, GTA 6 is one of the most eagerly awaited games; in fact, some fans have gone bonkers, thinking that a recent update to Red Dead Online was a coded message indicating the game would be released soon.
What to Expect?
With near-religious fervour surrounding GTA 6 since its formal announcement by the creator last year, the game has some high standards to meet. Still, its corporate masters appear calm and assured. In May of last year, Strauss Zelnick, the CEO of Take-Two, stated that the creator’s objective for its games is “[seeking] perfection”. He also said that GTA 6 “needs to be something you’ve never seen before on the one hand, and it needs to reflect the feeling we have about Grand Theft Auto.” It seems as if the companies are ready to support their claims. There might be additional information there that we can learn. But even if there isn’t, the trailer release in December is not too far off.
Insider Tez2 recently revealed on the GTA Forums that they have heard the studio anticipates GTA VI to launch in spring 2025. That is actually a little later than we had previously heard. Even worse, they imply that there may be more delays to the game.
“Several devs expect the release window in 2025,” they state. What’s to come is a spring release. However, the creator had previously planned for both GTA V and RDR 2 to debut in the spring. But as we know, that date was ultimately pushed back to the autumn.
It’s noteworthy to notice that the developers continue to refer to the next game as “The next Grand Theft Auto” rather than GTA VI. We still don’t know exactly what this means.
The Eager Anticipation and Speculation Surrounding GTA VI
The iconic franchise, which parodies American culture and its violent underworld of wannabe heroes, is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. Only after Bloomberg revealed the intentions yesterday night did the developer formally acknowledge them. The news went viral before publisher Take-Two’s second quarter results announcement.
Grand Theft Auto VI, according to earlier reports from Bloomberg, would have a male and a female protagonist. The game would most likely take place in Miami, the setting of the well-liked Grand Theft Auto: Vice City spin-off. It will also be more sensitive to cultural differences after an internal workplace transformation. Fans had a front-row seat to the game’s development last year when an unprecedented hack circulated a tonne of prototype footage online. It was despite the game’s formal announcement still being pending.
Since then, followers have been frantically searching for any tidbits of new information. These include the supposed leaks, or unsubstantiated rumours. Grand Theft Auto VI may include some of the most lifelike NPC and object motions ever seen in a game, according to a patent that was discovered last month. It’s been a decade since the release of Grand Theft Auto V, and hype levels are off the charts, for better or for worse.
Since GTA fans have been seeing GTA 6 teasers everywhere lately, some have theorised that the developers are purposefully making fun of them by utilising suggestive imagery. Maybe after this trailer all their wishes will come true. And we can stop making up tales about things like how the decorative stars are in the swimming pools of Grand Theft Auto 5.
